About Us

Honey bees are essential to New Zealand, pollinating around one third of our food sources. Honey bees produce many different types of honey as well as a variety of other bee products such as beeswax, pollen, propolis.

Honey has different flavours, colours, and aromas, depending on the location and kinds of flowers the bees visit.  Urban Honey beehives are located in areas around the north island. The team at Urban honey keep the honey harvests from each geographical region separate in order to obtain the flavours, colour and aroma of the honey from a particular local area.

Urban Honey specialises in local honey produced by local bees. The honey harvested is unique to the area in which the bees have collected the nectar – each location with its own flavour and aroma.  We provide honey to cafés, restaurants and other businesses for use in their products and to sell to their customers.

Urban Honey also provide, manage and maintain beehives in suburban properties at no charge to the land owner.

If you are interested in selling or using your local variety of Urban Honey at your business, please contact us for more information.
